little child in each of us: weak, naked, trusting, lacking the fear and cruelty of civilization, symbolizing the purity of a child’s soul. Maugli holds an open dialogue with the wild, with life and death, learns the laws
of the jungle, and unexpectedly finds himself at a crossroads: he must decide whether to stay in the jungle and obey its laws or to embark on his human quest. Which will prevail—the laws of human civilization or those of
eternally living and changing nature?
